Francisco De Goya

Every artist wishes to achieve a later style in their old age and very artist achieve such a feat. Goya going deaf in his old age with paint and brush in hand began a series of dark painting with ever darker meanings. With each stroke of color set to a grim tone Francisco Goya paints surreal and eerie images in a style that followed him throughout his old age and to his death.
